All star personal service continues to prioritize the safety and welfare of all our patients, families, employees and community partners. During these unprecedented times with COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we understand the concern and uncertainty you may be experiencing surrounding this pandemic so we are committed to being responsive to your needs. We are carefully following the protocols and precautionary measures recommended by the CDC to protect your safety while you continue to receive the type of care you expect from us. We understand that this is a fluid situation, so we are in constant communication with the Georgia Department of Public Health and are continually monitoring the CDC for new updates and directives to ensure your safety.  

Examples of Patient, Family, and Staff Precautions: 

1. We have enacted extra safety measures in our Inpatient Unit:  

     a. ASPS visitors and staff are being screened for symptoms to protect our staff and current patients.  

     b. We are limiting visitors to two per patient at a time. We are asking larger parties to wait in their cars        

     rather than congregating outside the building.

     c. All visitors must wear a mask while in the ASPS.

2. Pre-screening all new patient referrals for exposure to the virus. 

3. Directing our employees to report to their Supervisor if they have COVID-19 related symptoms such as fever, cough or sore throat. Any employees reporting symptoms are to be relieved of duty (with pay) and referred to their personal physician or the health department for testing at no expense to the employee. If an employee does test positive, we will make sure they are safely quarantined and will be well taken care of while they recover. 

4. Personal Protective Equipment is currently in stock and we continue to actively seek additional supplies as they become available. 

5. Canceled all large group meetings, gathering and events. 

6. We are limiting personnel in our home offices and have implemented a manager rotation so that leadership is always available in each office. 

7. Our patient team meetings are continuing to be conducted virtually. We will continue this practice until certain social distancing protocols have been lifted.   

8. Training and education moved to virtual learning platforms whenever possible.   

9. Re-education of clinical staff on universal precautions and prevention of illness/virus.
